Hi there,
I ve been living in NZ for now 6 months and am looking forward to the ski season. I m in Auckland at the mo but planning a trip down to Queenstown as soon as the snow kicks in. For those of you who have been sking down there, which resort is the best?(Cardrona/Remarkables/Treble Cone...) May I say that I come from the french alps and am used to nice off piste, hoping to find that kind of conditions here... Any advice mroe than welcome! Cheers. |

I'm a kiwi and would definately recommend Queenstown. The remarkables is about a 15 minute drive and Coronet Peak a bit further - but equally as good. Stunning views and adventure packed ... its a buzz - you'll love it!! There's also Mt Ht in ChCh and Whakapapa & Turoa in the middle of the North Island ... but I'd recommend Qtown. Ski passes are cheaper than what they are in Oz and most Ozzies book their flights well in advance, so the flights over are prob the biggest expense. Enjoy!!
