I'm looking to go skiing in France and/or Switzerland at the end of March but I don't know where! There are so many options that I'm confused! I've been told of so many mountains, Chamonix, Verbier, Portes du Soleil, Zermatt, Crans Montana...
We are upper intermediate skiers who are looking for a bit of a challenge, good snow conditions, great views, a place with a good night life and not too expensive. I've been leaning toward Chamonix but I've been told it is VERY expensive. Is this true? If anyone has suggestions for self catered places at a good price please let me know! Thanks! |

Chamonix is great for off piste but if you are mainly a piste skier stick to the uber resorts of the Three Valleys (Meribel, Courchevel, Val Thorens, la Tania, les menuires, St Martin)or Espace Killy (Val d'isere and Tignes) maybe. there are so many more soit would depend on budget, nightlife, scenary, ambience, etc etc.
