A lot of people invest in skis only to realize later that skis are very delicate equipment and require maintenance too. I found a link to a website with extensive detailed ski maintence tips on it. Check it out here -

Wow, great site. I didn't even know half the stuff on there and I've been skiing for years. Well, I guess this is a good time to start doing what I should. Thanks for the site.;)

Nice site, I'm still too new to realize the important stuff about skiing, but eventually this site will come in handy, thanks alot.

Interesting, didn't realize there was so much to do for taking care of skiis, guess I learn something everyday.
Hmmm, luckily I still am renting my equipment.
How much does it cost to maintain your ski equipment? After my next ski holiday I was considering buying my own but would obviously like to know all costs involved.

That is a really good point and that is why I rent either for the day or for the season becasue then I do not have to take care of the skis and they are always in good shape.

Here is another good website for tuning instruction. There is a pdf file you can download and print. I printed it out and keep a copy around just in case I need some info. They also sell wax and tuning equipment. Very good stuff too.

With a little tlc your ski's will ski noticeably better. Even just regular waxing helps.
