Hi from Seattle, Washington!

I learned how to ski at Breckenrigde, but I haven't been there since 1980 or so. Now my home mountain is Alpental, just 45 minutes east of Seattle in the central Cascades. I also ski Mount Baker and Crystal Mountain, and I try to make it up to Whistler at least once a year.

I also have a Randonee setup, and I try to go into the backcountry at least three or four times a year. Someday I hope to ski Mount Adams...

Welcome sdstarr!

Haven't had the pleasure of skiing WA terrain, hope to change that soon.

Did ski with a great group from your area last year. They raved about Crystal!

If you have one day in Washington, ski Crystal. If you have two ski days (and can take time for a long drive) ski Crystal and Baker.

I would love to get out of the Northwest for a trip to the rockies. And I have a morbid fascination for small and dopey ski areas in out of the way places. Not that I have the time or money to indulge it!

Crystal Mountain isn't a mountain?

I guess there's no mountain called "Crystal Mountain." But there is Silver Queen and North peak. Both of those are higher than anything on the entire east coast.

However, I'm glad you enjoyed the Cascade Concrete! It's good snow, it's just a bit ... assertive sometimes.
