What kind of music do you like to listen to whilst going down the slopes? Rock, Pop, Country, Techno, Classical...? Or do you not listen to music whilst skiing at all?

I usually don't listen to music - I quite like the sound of my skis cutting fresh powder .. mmm

I'm the same as Michael, the fresh sound of snow is good enough for me. Although, a little rock music could make it more dramatic :D

anything within the last 20 years, music before that era drives me up teh walls.....!

Yea i like to hear the sound of cutting powder too,

But i wouldn't mind some music to cover that horrible sound of ice.

The sound of the skis and the people around me has always been enough for me. I wouldn't like to wear headphones, because I like to hear what is happening behind me.

I like to listen to music - I usually listen to dance music or relaxing stuff ... depending on how im feeling. It just so happens that when I listen to fastbeat music I seem to do a lot more crazy things.

I like to listen to stuff like Coldplay when im skiing ... relaxing stuff. I only got my iPod this year so it is the first time that I really tried it.

Heh, I agree with Michael. I dont usually listen to music when I go skiing because for me it always seems like it causes accidents. Sometimes you get so entranced into the music that you dont know whats going on around you. My family friend doesnt listen to music either, she just sings when shes flying down the mountain. :D

I don't usually listen to music for teh same reasons mentioned above!

well i dont like music on the slopes...i like the sound of the wind whippin thru the trees... but i do like to listen to hard core rock when i'm in my car drivin to the resort...for some reason, it gets me all pumped up for the slopes

I have the same routine as snoskichk. I listen to tunes on the way there to get amped. I never wear my ipod on the hill as it is dangerous as hell and most places won't allow it. I love the sound of skiing as others have said as well. Best to be able to hear if someones going to take you out, it does happen, and it doesn't matter how great of a skier you are if you can't hear them coming. I love listening to music that I see on ski videos as it gets me thinking of sick lines and awesome terrain. :eek:
