Is it possible? Would it ruing the skiis? I'm just wondering, I'd like to try skiing again, but its spring so yeah.. I'm just wondering if it would be possible to skii on the grass, of course going down a hill.

I doubt it would work very well and would most likely damage the ski's.

I don't think it would work too well either because of the friction the grass would add, of course it depends how wet it is!

I just did a quick google search.Grass skiing is recently been practice in other countries. But wasn't sure if they have special gear for this.

There are special skis that you can get to "ski" down paved roads... they have wheels that make it possible... It is a great idea... you've probably seen the fake hills in ski shops that allow you to ski on turf... you'd have to find an amazingly grassy run - no bare spots!

Hey, if grass skiing really catches on, look at all the money you can make--selling grass to the resorts. Wouldn't need snow guns/machine made snow--just a lot of grass and hay--wouldn't ice up, but if there happened to be some grazing animals around--well--there goes that idea!

i would say it couldnt damage your skis unless there were rocks or other objects such as acorns. you would need a steep hill for speed and turning would suck, but it could be good for jibbing. i longboard on the grass

why ski on grass? powder is so perfect why ruin the experience?
