Has anyone been skiing in Japan before?
This is somewhere I would love to go, and I would imagine there would be some great skiing.
What do you think?

Tom,
I haven't been skiing in Japan before but I would imagine it would be very interesting. The link below may be of some interest to you:

Michael, Thanks for that great link, it has a lot of good information.
From what I've seen, Japan is a very expensive place to go skiing but the skiing is apparently very good.

Very interesting, not some where I would have even thought of WRT skiing.

Apparently the people are very friendly, I would love to go to check the country out, it looks like an interesting place.

I've always fancied ski-ing in Japan, but I doubt I will go soon - the rest of my family is much more into Europe :D

It would certainly be interesting with the change of cuisine up the mountain.

Hey!
For anyone coming to Japan over winter and wants to join our club just for the season or even just for one trip: Membership is Free and Everyone's Welcome!!
We go on big group bus trips to heaps of wicked ski fields all over Japan, usually leaving from Tokyo for two or three days. Trips include lift passes, hotels, meals and also live music / DJ events at night.
Come have some fun in the Japan snow with us!
... says it's awesome, liked the food and often the opportunity to visit hot springs. Often crowded.
Hi , I took the kids to Japan last Year. We had a marvellous time. The snow fall was heavy and POWDER was the word for each Day !
Food was fantasic. Generally I thought it was pretty expensive but I think if we had done a little more research we could have got the cost down.
You really do have to know where you are going as there are not too many English speaking people when you get there !
Best advice I can give you to have a great time is to organise a package so that the internal travel is pre organised.
Travel by Bullet Train is very easy.
Happy Ski Hols !
