Hello,
I would like to tell you about my holiday in Mayrhofen.
I went after Christmas 2 years ago. The snow was excellent. But I found that the resort could be quite crowded at times and lift queues could be quite long as there is a main gondola going up to the resort.
But after a few days we went to a different resort up the road a bit. It was great there as there was a big ski circuit that could be done. I can't remember what it was called but it was in the Mayrhofen area.
In other words, I think Mayrhofen would be a good choice if it wasn't during peak season and it was pretty empty.
Thanks,
Michael
I was going to go to Mayrhofen last year but eventually decided against it. I would definately check it out again after your review, thanks!

I visited Mayrhofen this February, I have to agree that it was very crowded - but the snow was great and I had a fantastic time, despite it being icily cold most of the time.
If anyone is interested, I stayed at the Elisabeth Hotel - http://www.elisabethhotel.com/

Thanks for the comments on Mayrhofen! It looks like a nice hotel you stayed in... How much did it cost?

Ive never skiied outside outside of USA but it would prob be good.
I've been to mayrhofen for 2 years now and it's very nice there, you've got a few racetracks with time board :) we always did little races. We were staying on a camping place just outside the village with an outside pool with hot water :)

Sounds like a good trip; However I don't remember seeing any race tracks, maybe I just missed them.
In the main area i saw i think 3 of them and each little area has also 1 :) we we're always racing eachother:)

It's always a bummer when the resorts are full up. When I was in Korea, this was the case for the first 4 days of our holiday. Then it just suddenly cleared up, but then Andrew broke his leg =\
