I think we have a few ski instructors here! Unfortunatley I'm not that good! Great to see we have another instructor here, will help for people looking for technique tips!

Im a snowboard instructor, I dont really get much time to teach during the season as Im also chief cook and bottle washer, but to be truthful i would much rather be snowboarding than teaching.

Hi! To be a ski or snowboard instructor you need a intermediate or better level to be able to go for the test qualified. Depending of which country you from the certfication are different but similar. Check at www.snowpro.com for Canada and www.psia.org for USA. Don'T expect to teach the highest level on your first season cause you will be disapointed. You will have to start had the bottom like everybody which mean beginner and youngster which is good to take experience.

There are lots of Ski and Snowboard instructor training courses that help set you up as a snowsports instructor(you need to be intermediate skier or snowboarder for most). I think it's the best way to get into the industry and you can pick... New Zealand, America, Canada, Japan and Europe to train. Can you train to become a ski instructor in the UK? If so do you need to go on a 3 month residential course in Aviemore or somewhere? Or can you do one at a place like Xscape? (sorry if that's a really stupid question but am researching this for my friend)
