Hello everyone. As I mentioned in my intro post, I'm pretty new to skiing, but so far I've managed to get the hang of it rather quickly so I'm considering myself well on the road to intermmediate.
Anyways, rentals are quite expensive here so I decided to purchase skiis since we've been going constantly since I've began skiing.
So, I went to all the sporting stores around here in Toronto, and managed to narrow it down to pretty much Sport Mart. They had alot to choose from and their prices were cheaper compared to most places which went overboard!
I ended up buying these ones:

The guy told me they are great for beginners because of their amazing flex..but they have alot of room for improvement..he claims that he's talked to pros that still enjoy these skis. He also stated the required bindings are really up there in terms of safety and comfort and flexibility..and you can move them around depending on your comfort level and all that jazz.
so he picked these as number one for someone like me.
I'm 5'7'' and 155lbs...average built-fit in terms of body type. The length I got was 155. He told me 160 would be a bit much for me...makes sense I guess..I've tried long skiis and I hate them lol.
So...what do you guys think about my pick? Do you think I got a good deal?
