I just returned from Soll in Austria about 3 weeks ago. Had a great time, the snow was excellent, not too crowded and a great night life. Unfortunately I'm not someone that can stay out all night and then ski well the next morning, so the skiing suffered. I'd definitely recommend Soll, but proably not for complete beginners, there's no green runs.

It's good to hear that you had a good time. Yes well, skiing extremly hungover is part of the experience I guess.

I haven't seen many green runs in any of the resorts I've been to. Surely there were nursery slopes and easy blue runs?

When I was a beginner I remember it being hard to finding that perfect run. The nursery runs apeared to be too flat and the blue runs were just too steap. I ended up finding the courage to just go for it on a blue run.

I definatly want to make a trip out to Austria soon. I have heard it is wonderful.

I have never been to Austria. Still deciding on where to go for the time off I get at christmas.
