I'm going snowboarding (for the first time) in Vermont in December, anybody had any good experiences there?

You're quite lucky to be going to the states to ski .. I would love to go .. I've never been so can't comment.

Nope, I have never been to Vermont. The spots I have been to are in upstate New York.

never been to vermont dont know jsut seems liek a weird place to ski lol.

I've been there once last year in febuary, and I'm going again this Febuary.

It's a great place, the resort is good quality and there are a great choice of slopes.

I'd love to go to US for skiing too...

Never been to the east coast, arent the slopes there pretty melllow?

Vermont has great skiing, I'm going to try to get up there as much as possible this year.
They have everything, its not too mellow :D, but if you're just starting snowboarding you can easily find great learning terrain anywhere.

i heard that it was awesome skiing there, but nvr been myself. would love to go, but being a college student in the south it is hard to scrap up $ even for laundry and gas, lol. :)

vermont has the longest ski run in the usa i read its 10mi in killington vt just a little short of the world longest run on mont blanc in france 13.??mi long
vermont has probly the greatest mountains in the eastern usa

Vermont probably has less snow in general than out west, but the big resorts here are all a lot of fun

btw, the "longest ski run" at Killington is supposed to be pretty much flat, so it doesn't really count. its called juggernaut They have a warning at the trailhead saying "warning snowboarders: trail has many flat sections, not recommended for snowboarders"
