View Full Version : What are some good powder skiis? Line101 25-12-07, 06:53 AM i am looking for some powder twin tips and was wondering if any one had any suggestions. Cheer Up Blue Square 26-12-07, 10:22 PM I bought a pair of Armada ARVs. I bought them new, but they were from last season, so I was able to get a good deal. I haven't had a chance to test them out in powder, but I hope to this week, so I can let you know. Otherwise, I had really good luck with the Salomon Guns last year. I skied on them as demos for 2 days after a huge powder dump at Alta, and they were fantastic. I would have bought them for this season, but I got such a good deal on the Armadas, which should be similar in performance. Line101 29-12-07, 05:49 AM cool thanx for the imput and let me no how the armadas work. how wide is the skis under foot? danger 29-12-07, 11:54 PM the line elizabeths, ep pros and the sir francis bacon all look really and and are fairly wide under foot. you can always go with the k2 pontoon, 160/130/122 Line101 02-01-08, 02:48 AM ya i have been looking at those but one problem i have found is that they all only come in like 170s and bigger and that is just to big for me i am looking for some like 150s but i cant find any do u no if they make any in that size or around it? danger 02-01-08, 09:01 PM ya i have been looking at those but one problem i have found is that they all only come in like 170s and bigger and that is just to big for me i am looking for some like 150s but i cant find any do u no if they make any in that size or around it? 150! are you anerexic Cheer Up Blue Square 02-01-08, 09:47 PM I'm on about a 165 in the ARVs, I think. Armada makes a few other powder skis, including a women-specific model, but I'm tall (5'10") and usually like the standard ski over the women's model. They aren't that wide under foot, and have a nice side cut to them. I would suggest maybe doing a demo of those and of the Salomon Teneighty Guns, and maybe the K2s. Even with the 165s, they are very negotiable even in bumps. I would worry less about the length and more about the overall feel. Line101 03-01-08, 03:26 AM i am 14 and a 170 is way to big. i am only like 5' 4" i meen any skis in like the 150-160s would even work. |
