Hi Guys new member here........i have been skiing to various resorts and just thought i'd give you the lowdown on some of the places i have been to

firstly andorra i was skiing in two resorts the

Arinsal and Pal.....i found that the Arinsal resort would be mostly towards beginners with 1 or 2 black runs Pal on the otherhand had a bigger area and i found it much more pleasent to ski.......that is of course because i was able to enjoy the more difficult runs.

I was in Italy in Folgaria one year that resort was based for intermediate skiers but hotels and eating out seemed to be relatively cheap but it was a nice place with nice people.

Andalo was probobaly my least favourite of the resorts....i found that it was a bit too low down and the snow melted too early making the skiing less enjoyable....but on the otherhand seemed to be a very good resort for beginner skiiers as there was open space and the instructing was excellent.

I am also planning to skiing in Kitzebul in Austria sometime in february....i want to go around many of the various resorts there....does anyone know how the weather and snow usually is at that time of the year???

Hi Eoghan

I was also in Folgaria in Italy, It was a great place and you're right, eating out was relatively cheap!

I have yet to go skiing in Andorra. Is it expensive?

No not at all we stayed in the hotel Palarine 3 stars buffet. I found the food at the hotel itself was excellent and the slopes were only about two miles up the road.

all in all it cost me around ?400 per person......
