Skiing or Snowboarding?

I'm just curious to see what you guys prefer out of the two. I never skiied before, so naturally, I'm going with snowboarding. That and snowboarding is way cooler =P lol

Snowboarding seems a lot cooler than skiing, I must give it a try. Right now, I'm into skiing and mastering that before moving on to other sports, e.g. snowboarding.

I'm sure it is a difficult decision for those who have done both. Personally I have never tried snowboarding, I am sure I will at some stage .. just not yet.

I prefer skiiing, more control in my opinion. Makes me feel safer and less scared to ride down the hills.

I like them both, they both have compeltely different styles, snowboarding can be more relaxed and "cool" where as skiing is more exploring type, atleast thats the way I see it.

I agree snowboarding seems more like sliding down the slopes on your rear end most of the time, hows that fun? In the end ( snowboarding = hard to learn but easy to master ) ( skiing = easy to learn hard to master ) i personally like skiing

Skiing for me. I have no desire to learn how to snowboard.

Snowboarding seems more "free" and is a natural progression if you feel you can ski well and want to try something new!

Free heel skiing of course ! You can go everywhere on skies. Using Nordick mountain touring ore telemark skies you can walk up mountains and ski down again. Get fantastic hiking trips on snow. In Norway everyone manage this teknics.

I've been skiing for 6 years now and unfortunatly I can only afford to go once a year, so each year i've been going i've always said that i'd try snow bording but as you get better and better each day your on skis I dont really want to spend any time trying to learn something new when I could be spending that time improving my skiing. But I have been saying for a couple of years now that if I had the pennys then i'd spend a week bording and a week skiing. Ovey not one week after the other, i've got legs like a match stick! haha!
