Buying Ski Gear in B.C.

for an Aussie the amount & variety of Skis & gear that was generally available in Whistler was ............. Massive, ..... a bit like the whole place.
But for young players, (i.e those of us not living in Nth America) when one looked at a pair of skis for instance, & lets say the price shown is $500.00, that is not the price you will pay !
The dreaded HST tax is added at the point of sale, & this is on everything.
I did come home with another pair of skis , I did my reserch in Whistler, but I made my purchase in Vancouver, & I saved several hundred dollars in the process . Also your not lugging them around as much either.

Something worth remembering if your heading that way.
