Are teens allowed to ski w/o adult supervision?
Me and my friends want to go skiing but would we be allowed to go without an adult? Thank you!

It is best to contact the resort to find out their rules and regs. Where we ski, we often see teens skiing together without an adult though I have not been able to find anything at our local resorts indicating a minimun age. We're on hill today and I'll ask what the status is here.

I spoke to the folks at Lake Louise and they do not have an age requirement policy. As per, if a child is capable of getting on and off the lifts on their own and is a competent skier/border that is all they require.
This doesn't apply to all resorts, again it's best to check with the hill you are going to. You bring up a good point though. With the increase in liability, rules and regulations and number of people partaking, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see resorts implementing minimum age supervision requirements. Hope you have a good time wherever you go. Keep your head up and be safe. ![]() |
