Hi
Our family is looking to spend 1 week skiing over Christmas break, Our 2 boys ages 11 and 13 are beginners. We are hoping to find somewhere within a reasonable budget and a place that would be good for beginners.(anywhere in the northeast - what is loon mt in new hampshire like or lake placid ny. any recommendations would be helpful since this is new for us. Thanks |

i reckon it's quite difficult, during winter holidays, the prices are rising, and it costs a lot if you are a whole family!

Jojo. I outline every ski area in New England on my website. My recommendation would be to go to North Conway New Hampshire if you there is any lodging still available. The town has a great holiday atmosphere around Christmas and there are a couple great beginner options for low cash. Specifically Cranmore. Attitash and Bretton Woods are more expensive but give you other options as they have more trails and better snow making if it we have a slow start to the natural stuff. King Pine which is much smaller and cheaper as well as Black Mountain are also reasonably close. Good luck!
