Getting my Son Skiing

This year I would like to start my oldest son skiing in Colorado. We live in the Denver metro area and will probably end up going to a ski resort somewhere off I-70.

The main reason I have been putting off taking him skiing is that it is so expensive. Hopefully, if I can reduce the cost some, then I will be able to take him this year.

Since it has been years since I have been skiing myself, I have several questions. They are:

1. What resorts will have good deals for one or two beginners classes for him? I also need a good deal on a lift ticket for me while he takes his lessons.

2. After he finishes his lessons, I'd like to go skiing with him 3 or 4 times this season. Are there any deals out there for 3 or 4 lift tickets? Where would I find these?

3. Where is the best place to rent ski equipment?

4. Anything else I should be aware off to take some of the cost out of taking him skiing?
