I am planning a short/cheap ski trip.. would you like to join?
So, I live in Austin, TX. I already had my dose of CO this season but need to hit the slopes again. From where I live NM is the closest and easy to drive 15hrs to Taos or angelfire.
So, here is my plan: Resorts: Taos, Angelfire and /or sipapu. Lodging: Hostel (snowmansion.com) $22/night. Departure: leave Austin thursday afternoon, ski friday, sat and sunday, leave taos sunday after skiing. Food & beverages: up to each person. I have done this drive before and if there are 2-4 drivers it should be pretty easy. (non stop). About the vehicle, we can rent and split the charges or whoever volunteers a car should not pay as much as the other passengers for gas. Dates: feb 26-mar 1, mar 5- 8, mar 26-29 or april 2-5 (if weather still good). Let me know if you are interested, we can get together and plan something. If you must know something about me: I am latin, early 30, an intermediate skier (I have my own skis), I am a cyclist(road and mtb), easy going, bilingual (in case you want to practice your spanish), I could not live without music, etc. Snowboarders are welcome too, or if you are up to going to the mountains and doing whatever else is fine, too. The only requirements are: that you help driving and money for gas (or whatever we work out), I do not mind smokers but not in my car. Hey, if you have any suggestion. I am listening... Cheers |
