Learning to ski
Hi
I want to take my first ski holiday and would like information about suitable holiday options for newbies. I would be travelling solo so ideally would like info about groups/likeminded folk or others wishing to learn to ski also travelling solo or good places to go to meet other solo and new skiers....any siggestions?! If you are crossing the pond I would suggest skiing in New England or New York because it is another 3-5 hour flight to the ski areas of the western US. You need a fairly popular ski area that is not too overcrowded so I would avoid southern Vermont. Check out Attitash Sunday River Maine or Stowe Ski Resort. All three are decent size resorts with a lot of accommodations and should have a fair amount of newbies to hang with.
