Need help planning a ski trip
Hi!
I'm interested in going skiing - went last year to Breckenridge for the first time and I'm hooked. Problem is it looks like it will be a solo trip for me and I'm not sure where to go/stay/etc. I need a place that would be close to the airport as I'm already having to fly from Miami/Ft. Laud which is long enough (If there's a good shuttle service from the airport it would help I think). Not looking forward to driving in snow so would prefer to stay in a location where driving isn't really necessary. Would like to be able to do this without going broke so cost is a factor. Still a beginner so need to have nice amount of blues and greens. Would like to go end of February or beginning of March preferably. I'm a teacher and have spring break first week of April but I'm pretty sure that's hit or miss when it comes to skiing =/ Any ideas? Thanks!!! ![]() |

Any of the big resorts have shuttle van services from Denver Airport, no need for a car. Any of them are fine, with a big variety of terrain. Or if you go to Utah, everything is pretty close to Salt Lake City.
__________________The first week in April is usually fine at any of the resorts higher in altitude. I've skiied in mid-April in the east some years. I have been to Copper in late April and they closed the place with tons of snow to ski on. I have also been to Squaw Valley in late May with tons of snow. Just Ski, not to worry. |

I suggest you stay at Chateau Apres in Park City http://www.chateauapres.com/ . You could either get a cheap room or stay in the dorm.
Get a shuttle from the airport. You are then next to the lifts in Park City and you can jump on the free buses to Deer Valley and The Canyons.
