How early is too early to start planning for your 2006 ski trip?

Since I live quite far away from any ski resorts I have to book well in advance to get flights etc.. Usually it would be at the start of September for a holiday in Feburary.

I suppose that is the best way to do it to ensure availability.

Yeah it is, and also because half on us stays on a camping place and the other half in the hotel near it so it's even harder to get it done all. But it's fun every year.

I always wait till the last minute because I go so often. I suppose it takes a lot of planning if you live far from a slope.

When you go in top-season i don't think you should do it last minute because most time every place is full then.

it all depends on how long you're planning to go for, the traffic of the resort, and at what time of the season. You dont wanna plan too soon because of surprising events, but you dont wanna plan too late because of bookings. I'd suggest researching a month before, and then booking a 3-2 weeks in advance.

I always plan early, so if I'm going to a ski trip in Canada in the summer, I'll plan it around March-April. Sometimes in Jan =P
