Oldest age to start skiing?

I doubt that I'm the oldest to start skiing ..... Any advance on 53?

Any age is fine if you are in reasonable shape. I started at an early age but moved away from snow country for 23 years. I finally had an oppertunity to go and it was like riding a bicycle, in fact I skied better that day than I ever have because of all the advances made to the equipment since the 70's. Go for it, all you risk is that it might be fun as long as you advance your challenges slowly.

I think any age will do as long as your physically healthy and your body is in shape to go skiing.
