Anyone know the difference between Salomon Gun and Gun Labs?

Info I've found on the internet is vague at best, contradictory at worst. Other than the Gun Labs were 188s, handmade for the team, & few were made for public consumption, what's the difference? Is the current Gun just a mass produced version of the Gun Labs?
