Wow some of those get really pricey, i'll have to stick with lower priced ones for now haha.

Yes ski's are very expensive but they have come down in price. You could look into maybe getting a previous seasons model? It would probably be just as good for cheaper.

I do not know about brands, but I would advice for lengh is somewhere between your diaphragm and your clavicle.
