Buying my first pair of skis. I have 2 I want..help
Hey guys, I am new here. I am 18 years old, about to buy my first pair of skis. I have rented all my life and am done with that. I am an intermediate skier, will ski any east coast black diamonds.. I am 6foot 160lbs. I am looking at buying volkl race tiger Rc163 cm , or Nordica Hot Rod Nitrous Skis 170cm with Nordica NT Pro 25 bindings. I am doing mostly downhill, maybe some park but that would just be for fun.
What do you guys think? THANKS! |

HI! If you are having a hard time deciding between two skis, I would demo both if you can. That should make the decision much easier. It is so much personal preference. You MAY want to consider longer skis, with your height, weight, and ability level, I would imagine your would be more comfortable with a ski around 170-180cm (I am 5'9", 150lbs, advanced skier, my skis are 167cm). Just a suggestion! Good Luck!

new skis
I agree that you should consider something a little longer - somewhere in the low 180's, particularly if you find yourself needing to set your edges. just my two cents.
