Clothing - How many layers do you wear?
How many layers of clothing do you wear while skiing? I suppose it depends where you are skiing and the conditions but I usually just wear a T-shirt and a ski jacket and bring another layer with me just incase it gets extra cold!

Top- I wear long underwear, t shirt, sweatshirt, and Columbia parka shell (just the outer shell, not the liner).
__________________Bottom- Long underwear and uninsulated ski pants. I use this setup from about 35 degrees fahrenheit down to about 0 degrees fahrenheit. |

Base layer, then a light long sleeve shirt that wicks moisture or is quick dry. Then my jacket and pants. If it is super cold I throw on a vest as well. The base layer is key. Medalist makes some great base layer clothing and it is odour resistant for like 90 days lol.

Sorry for the double post..by base layer, do you mean the very first layer you put on, or is "base layer" a type of undergarment?
LOL I feel like an idiot at this point... |

Base layer is like long underwear, first layer put on. Most important I think. Base layer is both leg and torso coverage. Basically, its long underwear. Cheers Your not an idiot

Usually long sleeve, short sleeve, sweater, jacket on top, and then flannel, normal pants, and snowpants on my legs. Of course less when it's hot, and my boots are way too big so untill I get new ones I'll (oh my god!) wear two pairs of socks.

Hm, Thermal base, short sleeve tee, long sleeve tee, wool sweater, jacket
thermal base, woolies, and snowpants. Wool cap and goggles, thick ass rome leather gloves, wool socks(yes my mom made them for me for x-mas about 5 years ago) Seeing as it can get 30 below not including windchill, I like to wear a bit extra. Always have the option to strip a layer if it's too hot.
