Fischer Vision 76 Info Request

I'm looking for some help. I am an entry level skier having been just five times but I'm looking to get a cheap setup so I don't have to rent. I'd rather not go the used route to be on the safe side. I found a cheap set of Fischer Vision 76 skis w/ bindings. While doing some online research I see that they are referred to as a womens ski some places. What is the difference between a mens ski and a womens ski and would it matter at my level (I'm not a woman). Any help is appreciated.
