Fritischi Freeride or Not to Fritischi
Ski season is coming up fast and my old bindings just won't cut it anymore.
I live in N Texas, so its not like I need a binding to use every day, just a few weekends every month or so. I would really like to get into AT skiing, which is what draws me to the Fritishi's (that and the fact that I can get them for $239 right now), but since I don't have any friends who share my interest at the moment I will not be able to pursue that venture any time soon. My question is, should I go ahead and buy the Fritischi's even though I'll be using them for mostly in-bounds skiing at the moment. Or just go ahead and buy a dedicated alpine binding and not worry about AT till I live a little closer to the hills? Eventually, when I live closer, I will be doing a lot of AT and eventually will buy some Dynafits, but it would be nice to have the option to dabble in the world of AT without having to sacrifice the thickness of my pocket book. Any help is much appreciated! |
