Has anyone ever made their own skis? If so how do they perform?
I recently came across a youtube video of a guy making his own skis. he mail ordered the metal edges & ptex base. Made a form and used a lot of epoxy and a ton of weight and pressed it all together. I kind of crafty and think I could do it. My question is how do they perform?

Well it depends with your kind of style. Most self made ski are fit to maker's need.
