Helmet? Do you wear one when skiing?

Well I just wanted to see what kind of results this poll gave, do you wear a helmet when skiing? I was considering buying one as i don't wear one at the moment.

Thoughts please ..

I'l see if I can get the poll featured on the main page - it should mean a lot more people will do it!

I always wear my helmet when I teach. When I ski with friends or other instructors I tend to like to go with a toque. If it is snowing like crazy though I wear the helmet to keep my head dry.

I probably should seeing as Iceface aka Whiteface is where I ski, and I do tend to wipe out quite a bit since I have yet to allow my brain control over my balls.

I never had one for years and then bought one after a couple of snowboarding falls.

Its warm, lightweight, comfortable and the sensible thing to do, so wear it all of the time now.

there is no reason NOT to wear a helmet nowadays. they are so light you don't know you are wearing one. they keep you nice and warm with a degree of protection.
most people not wearing them are just too stubborn to know whats good for them.

i always wear one, after a concussion from a nasty crash a kid the parents made it mandatory when i was young, now i just dont see why you wouldnt, they keep your head warm, and still in one piece if/when you blow up, they're light and comfortable... its just smart

ya man def i allways do its so much better with one cause you dont always need to worrt about hitting your head on rails or icy landings and even little falls where you hit your head defonatly hurt so ya i allways do and they keep your head and ears wayyy warmer than just a hat would
