Lange Skis

I have an old pair of LANGE USA freestyle skis (black with green). Awesome ski during their day (likely 1970's). Someone told me once that the core was made of Jamaican Mahogany. Can anyone confirm whether this guy is correct or whether he is smoking too much Jamaican.

I work at a vintage ski shop so I may be able to find the original spec sheet
