Looking for a short ski...
OK, here goes, and thanks in advance to anyone who can offer some advice...
I took a few years off from skiing, recently got back into it after moving from MT and AK to Grand Rapids, MI where we only have hills. So, I got involved teaching children with disabilities how to ski. Back a few years, ok several years I got out 30-40 days a year and was skiing on everything from a 150 Hart Ballet ski to a 210 blizzard race ski...now I just got on a pair of shaped skis for the first time and loved em and I wanna buy a pair. I used to enjoy skiing the most on the 150's and with all the changes in skis I don't even know where to start my research on what would be right for me. I am 180 lb, advanced skier that wants a 150, most of the skiing I do will be in the mid-west, nothing crazy..can anyone recommend a ski that they think would be strong enough for me? Thanks a bunch... J. |

if you want a true all-mountain ski that excells at everything, get the Head Xenon 9.0! They are incredible ski's. Save some money by dropping down to the Xenon 7.0, their quite a bit cheaper and is still a really great set. You won't find anything these ski's cannot do! You wont be able to find them (or hardly any mens skis) in 150, but you can get them in 156. Salomon X-Wing series are nice as well if youre looking at short and very light skis. |

Hi Jodo,
All i would say is don't just go off the manufacturers Length. In My Experience you have to do your own measurments and binding positioning. There is usually a differance in what they say and what it should be. Let me know if you want the real instructions. |

Try out Atomic Metron. In my opinion one of the best ski out there. Look at their M2 index and Im pretty sure you will find yourself in the 160 range.
