Need advice with ski boots

Looking into buying ski boots. That's the first time i'm buying them. Was renting before. I'm beginner - interm.
Any advice on a good place to go to in / around Boston area? May be NH?
Any experience with REI?
I'd appreciate the advice.

I always found that by going to 2 or three shops you can ask them for their advice and then make your decisions. Only issue is they will of course do their est to sell directly.
