Need help on buying these Skis
Ok this will be 2nd season going sking. This year I decided to find some nice, not to expensive skis online instead of renting. Renting is sooo expensive and over priced. So I found this set and have talked them down to $150 for the skis, bindings and poles.
Im no pro and just wanted to get input on if this is a good deal or a rip off. There are Fischers and the woman didnt know what style and all but she said that this was on the skis "RCX Carve Revolution" and where the boots lock in it says "Plasma Edge". They are 172 cm. The poles are "Olympic quality". I will meet her to get them so I will see them in person before buying. Thanks for the help!!! |

I just joined this forum, but here's some info I found for you...
__________________Fischer RCX Carve Revolution: Estimated Retail New: $399.00 Entry-level through intermediates will appreciate the light weight and easy control benefits of this value priced ski. The RCX Carve Revolution features Fischer's Balanced Flex to optimize performance for your weight and power. A design process, exclusive to Fischer, produces edges which are 50% harder than conventional edges. Fischer focuses an Argon gas beam at the edge and heats it. As it cools, the resulting metal edges are unbelievably strong and durable. Plasma Edges allow you to ski 5 times longer before having to sharpen your edges again. Power is directed along the central axis of the ski for quick response and a smoother, more stable ride on varied terrain and snow conditions. Hope this helps. |

I don't know if you have purchased or passed on this setup yet, but $150 is a very fair price for a full setup as long as the equipment is well maintained!
Good luck! |
