Ski Boot Flex 120 or 130
I recently bought a Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 120 and 130. I am struggling to decide which flex to keep. I am 180 lbs and 6 feet. I have skied my whole life but spent the last ten years only skiing back country. I am an aggressive skiier but not the most aggressive person on the mountain, I go fast but don't huck big cliffs. I can flex both boots inside on one leg and two legs but can flex the 120 more, obviously. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

I fit ski boots and sold ski equipment for 25 years. I would recommend the 120 flex. The 130 is a very stiff boot as usually for a racing or if you weighed more than 200 pounds I would recommend the 120 since you’re not racing and skiing in the back country. I used to ski on 130s now I ski on 120s and I find them plenty stiff enough. I’m not racing anymore And they’re more comfortable to ski and you don’t have to work so hard to get the ski and boot to flex. You can relax a little more and have fun. The choice is yours if you want to push yourself nonstop top to bottom all day and go for the stiffer 130.
