The skiers edge machine - tried it?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has used the Skiers Edge and if it felt at all like real skiing? I have seen these at ski shows and magazines but I am sceptacle on their mimicing real skiing. If anyone has any experience with this piece of exercise equipment let me know, er.... let everyone know I guess. Heres the website for those who havent seen one. Cheers

Ski simulators
I have a friend who was considering sponsorship by the skiers edge ski simulator and was given one to test. It provides a formidable workout but it has a drawback all simulators possess, it's not skiing. Since it's not skiing you aren't actually exercising the specific muscles that keep you balanced in motion. It also lacks the fun and danger components that makes skiing addictive. I'm sure that if you are imaginative and extremely hard up for skiing it will give you a good workout and maybe even a temporary fix. However it may only make it worse and cause you to book a trip to New Zealand, Chili or Mt Hood, Oregon for you August ski fix.
