Too Long SKI
hi,
I bought brand new 168 cm SKI from internet and I realized that SKI is longer than i thought. I did go skiing one with this one and i was little uncomfortable with this SKI. Also, I fall off couple of times with this SKI due to longer than I am used to. Do you think I will get used to with this SKI ?. My height is 5' 3" and I am begginer to Intermediate. is this because I used this SKI first time ? and i should go couple of more time to break into it ?. I am worry about falling part. I do not like falling anymore since while i was learning I did fall enough time. Is this possible to go to SKI service center and cut SKI smaller ? Thanks |

Hi mamin, Yes, those skis are much too long for you. I am 5'9" and ski 167cm skis. Skis cannot be cut, you will likely need to return or sell yours and purchase shorter skis. I would recommend skis around 150-155cm in length. Ideally, your skis should be no taller than you are. The tip of your skis should be between your chin and the top of your head. The more experienced you are, the longer your skis can be, but that is personal preference.

You may find difficulties if your skis are not the right ones.. try not to push it, like PNWConcreteRocks, you can either return or sell.. get yourself a new one that fits perfectly..
