Twin tisps: what's the advantage?

I'm moving to Utah and I'm going to invest in all new gear this summer and this is my first Question:

Why Twin tips?

I need an all purpose ski for recreation. I want to be able to get in some powder but also be able to ski with my little girl on the groomed. She's 6 years old.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Twin tips is fun. You'll spend most of your time at terrain parks. Better try it first.
