Howdy from Alberta
It's a treat to find a site dedicated to one of the best ways to speed down a mountain side all the while grinning from ear to ear.
The hubby and I are both keen two plankers and have been for years. A bit spoiled in that we are only a short drive to some of the best skiing/boarding resorts in the Rocky's. We both are hosts at one of the major resorts near us, and thoroughly enjoy meeting and skiing with travellers from all over the planet. I look forward to spending some time here! ![]() |

Thank you for the welcomes!
Michael, I will definitely post up some pix. We're just starting to hit our real snow season up here so there's no excuses not to find some great skiing! |

Hello
It must be great living there We were thinking about going to lake louise, Banff or Jasper for new year. We are a group of 14 from beginner to expert also have 2 children with us 5, 10. Having never been to Canada and you live there could you recommend a resort. Thanks Clare |

From a completely unbiased point of view ![]() In answer to your question, either Lake Louise or Sunshine would have more than enough varied terrain to accommodate all in your party, even the wee ones. I do know there are tour companies based out of the UK that work directly with Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and other hotels/resorts that set up entire packages. Those packages often will include skiing at Sunshine, Lake Louise as well as trips to Jasper and throw in snowshoeing, snowmobiling along with a number of other events and outtings. As a resort host, I've had the pleasure of spending several tours with many folks from the UK. From our perspective, if you've left the tour a little more knowledgable and with a great big smile then we've hopefully done our job. FYI - I'm not paid by, endorsing or promoting any particular tour company or resort, these are simply some of the companies that are common in our area. I hope this helps in answering your question. Thanks, SB |
