Alberta questions

Hi, my wife and I are planning a trip to Banff, Alberta. We are both intermediate/advanced skiiers, but have never strayed from the east before. My daughter is working near Lake Louise (Baker Creek Chalets), so we had thought of going to that area. Which is better for a 54 year old, Sunshine or Lake Louise? Does one groom any more than the other? I am NOT an off trail guy. Do I need powder skis out west? Or would you try to ski both places in a week? Thanks for any help.
