Anyone been skiing in Romania?

Hi, are looking to maybe book a skiing holiday in Poiana Brasov in Romania in early January. Does anyone know what the snowfall is like then, and any other info would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you looked at hotels/accommodation yet? I'd be interested to know how much that costs - it's meant to be pretty cheap isn't it?

Hi, thanks by the look of that website snow is really good in january, we were meant to be going to livigno in italy for 2nd year running, but neilsons have double booked our rooms, so we were looking for an alternative and romania as it is all inclusive for about £70 per person more seems really good value. Just checking before I change our booking, anymore info much appreciated thanks.

I went to Poiana Brasov about 12 years ago, at the time the skiing was very limited. If they have upgraded at all then it should be fine. The actual village (its a purpose built resort) is tiny but pretty. If you get the chance to do the Transylvania trip to 'Draculas castle' its a must.
