Idaho VS Colorado
Starting to plan a ski trip for March and need help to decided where to go. I have been to Steamboat and Breckenridge as a kid, but have a friend that just moved to Boise. How do the two areas compare? Any suggestions would be great.

It's hard to compare Boise to Breckenridge or Steamboat because Boise is not a ski town. It's a small city near some ski resorts but you have to drive to them. I don't know if you remember the "ski town" feeling but you won't find that in Boise as it's a city first and foremost with skiing nearby vs a destination ski town. There is lots of good skiing near Boise though so do discount it just one that one fact.

Your budget, time available for your trip, etc. Obviously staying at your buddies place is going to be cheaper and the resorts in Idaho are probably cheaper as well. They might not be as much fun to party at though??? |

Thanks for the reply. The trip is not for spring break. Budget is not really a problem....but don't want to spend a fortune. I am defiantly looking for the ski town feel. What would be your suggestion for ski towns in Idaho? Sun Valley? |

Yeah, Sun Valley would be the place to go from Boise for the "ski town" feel that is big enough to have some action in town after the slopes.
