Need Advice on best April Skiing
Need advice on best resort in US or Canada for skiing in early April. NOT looking for spring ski conditions - looking for coldest weather and driest snow.

I would like to recommend Grand Cayman Resort is the famous and over forty floor plans and a large variety of choices for location, style and views.

Copper Mountain
Not sure about your time frame or flexibility but I just bought the lift ticket deal at liftopia for 50% off at copper mountain for 4/12. If you are going to be there then email me at jahmere {at} lifttickets.org and maybe we can have some hot chocolate...

Vail looks like it could see up to 10 inches of fresh powder by Friday, SnowMass - Aspen is looking at a possible 12 inch dump by Friday. Pretty decent dump for the first week of April!

We'd recommend Whistler. We go at Easter every year with family group of 8 + mixed abilities. The ski school is one of the best I've experienced, especially for the younger kids. Lots of variety in runs and even the relative beginners can go from the top to bottom (of Blackcomb) on greens so it makes it possible to ski in a family group where the advanced skiers can peel off onto a more challenging run and then meet up with those who have taken an easier route. I have never know it crowded (at least not by European standards!) as there is so much mountain/s. Don't believe all you see on the Olympic coverage about the weather by the way (most of the bad weather is at Cypress mountain which is closer to the coast). Once you get into the Alpine rain means more snow! We've been going to Whistler twice a year for six years and only had a few rainy and misty days in all that time. They've got lots of snow this year (and even last year when they didn't get much snow and Easter was late it was still great. Sunny and two powder days). There are some good accomodation deals this year too for end March/April as they want to encourage people to come post Olympics. We preferred staying in Blackcomb when the kids were younger (as the Whistler Kids ski school is right at the bottom) and it's quieter. Now we have teenagers we favour Whistler village to give them some independence. PM me if you would like more information or advice.
