Skiing in China?

Hello,
I’ve heard of a big new ski resort being built in Xinjiang Province.
Skiing in China sounds like it would be fascinating. But what's there?
Has anyone ever skied China? What’s it like?

I live in Hong Kong. that's why I'm curious about the ski scene in China.
I have a condo in Incline Village, NV so most of my skiing is in the Lake Tahoe area.
It's great there.

In the meantime, I found on Moosh.com that someone is building a new (what they say is a) "five-star" ski resort in China's Xinjiang Province (had to look that one up).
see: www.pingtianresorts.com
The place looks pretty serious. And it's a lot closer to Hong Kong than Heavenly or Squaw.
That part of China is interesting. Who knows? If they get the resort right, maybe it'll be worth a trip from Boise.

Very cool, thanks for the link. I would love to visit China, maybe a ski trip would be just the ticket...
