Skiing in Slovenia
Has anyone been skiing in Slovenia? I am looking for a people's opinions on what it is like. I go skiing with my family (two young children) so I am not looking for loads of black runs or anything but more interested in how family friendly it is, the queues for ski lifts and the quality of restaurants for children. Also how reliable is the snow on the mountain. Stuff like that.
Really interested to hear what experiences other people have had. Thanks |

Hi jonniu, i'm from Slovenia but unfortunately i can only help you answer a few things. There are a lot of family friendly slopes in Slovenian ski resorts for sure. The queues are quite big, but mostly on weekends. There is more then enough snow on mountains this season. Next week i'll spend at Kranjska gora resort. It's quite nice, but i like Vogel ski resort the most, the nature is really magnificent there.

Hi Andrejm63,
I really appreciate your reply. Thanks very much. I have another question if you don't mind. Is there plenty of accommodation on the ski resort (close to the lifts ideally)? Or do you have to stay in the valley and then take a bus up the mountain to the resorts? Thanks again |
