The first time I went skiing was in Korea

The first time I ever went skiing, it was in Seol in South Korea. I had never even seen snow, so it was definitely exciting. However, I was incredibly disappointed to find out that the snow was indeed, fake. They had these huge snow machines churning out gallons upon gallons of snow.

It did snow later that week, but it was just before I left and it was more like hail, not quite snow.

At any rate, the food in Korea definitely made up for the lack or *real* snow. I am a great fan of "exotic" dishes, especially the spicy Kim Chi

Skiing in South Korea, now that's one I haven't heard of. I wouldn't imagine it would be every expensive either?

Why did you decide to go to Korea for skiing? Do you live there/near there?

I live in Hong Kong, so it was much cheaper for me. Air fares were cheap but Seol is a developed city by any standards. Accomodation is quite expensive - but we had a rather generous budget... my friends parents were feeling generous and I leeched off him haha

It did snow, as I said, but it was more like hail and since the city is very busy, it gets very dirty and black which is rather disgusting. You couldn't exactly make an iceball of black dirt, now could you?

Yeah, was it an indoor skiing resort? I've seen some of these indoor skiing resorts being ran during the hot summer time. Wonder how much those resorts cost to build.
