Where to go ? NC or Bristol MTN,NY ?

Wich place would have the better snow ? Sugar Mountain,NC or Bristol Mountain near Bloomfield,NY ? I know there are better places but my Wifes Family lives in Bloomfield,NY and I can drive to Sugar in NC. so I want to ski at the better place. Altitude at Sugar is 5000 ft and Bristol is 2700. but Bristol is in NY where as Sugar is in NC. We will be going right after Christmas. I appreciate any replies.
